MMA commentator and former UFC fighter, Dan Hardy does not hide his admiration for the current achievements of Paddy Pimblett, candidate for the new Ultimate sensation. According to the analyst, the lightweight (up to 70,3 kg), who has been giving shows in his presentations with the company, has real conditions to overcome the popularity of Conor McGregor. The Irishman is considered a promotions legend in mixed martial arts.
“In a favorable position, he can do more than Conor McGregor. Fans will follow him to a higher rung than they did Conor. I don't believe Paddy will fall in the same way as Conor, and find himself locked up with handcuffs,” said Hardy, in an interview with 'The MMA Hour'.

Former double champion of Cage Warriors, a company where McGregor also excelled, Pimblett debuted in the UFC in September 2021. On that occasion, the Englishman knocked out the Brazilian Luigi Vendramini and, subsequently, he added two more triumphs, both on the fast track.
Lightweight representative, Paddy was the big star of the UFC London, held last Saturday (23). At the event, the fighter submitted Jordan Leavitt, once again driving the audience crazy.
Professional in MMA since 2012, the 27-year-old Englishman has 22 commitments in mixed martial arts. Today, the fighter has 19 victories and three defeats.
Even with Hardy's expectations about Pimblett, the fighter is still far from approaching McGregor's achievements in the UFC. Even though he is in decline in the company, 'Notório' made history in the organization by becoming the first fighter to win simultaneous titles (featherweight and lightweight). The 34-year-old Irishman is currently recovering from a serious ankle injury, suffered in July 2021, in the defeat to Dustin poirier.
