Georges St. Pierre focused on the duel against BJ Penn

Billed as the man who can stop Anderson Silva in middleweight, the Canadian Georges St Pierre says he is focused solely on defending the welterweight belt, this Saturday, against the Hawaiian B.J. Penn.

"Anderson Silva He’s an incredible fighter, when people compare me to him I feel great,” said St. Pierre. “Now, I am focused on B.J. Penn and like I said, I can't think about anything else, all my focus is on BJ”, said the Canadian to the American website MMA Weekly.

About moving up in weight to face Anderson Silva, GSP does not rule it out, however, the fighter rules out any possibility of permanently changing category, as he has many training partners in the middleweight division.

PUBLICITY:

“I will never fight a friend. It’s not a question of money, it’s a question of being honest and being faithful”, he added.
