Brazil started with everything on the main card of the Bellator 283, held this Friday (22), in Tacoma (USA). Representative of the heavyweights (up to 120,2kg.), Marcelo Golm took on the challenge of facing the 'giant' Davion Franklin and got the better of the number eight in the category led by Ryan bader. After two balanced rounds, the São Paulo native took advantage of his opponent's exhaustion and submitted his opponent with a rear naked choke in the last round.
With the victory, Marcelo should be included in the heavyweight rankings next week. In addition to the achievement, the former UFC fighter remained undefeated in the company, now, with two victories in a row.

Halfway through the stage, Marcelo entered the clinch and pressed his rival against the bars. Franklin managed to free himself and hit the Brazilian with a direct hit. Near the final minute, Davion managed to get a takedown on the Tupiniquim and attacked him with blows from top to bottom. In the final seconds, Marcelo reversed his position and was on top. A new turnaround took place, with the North American reaching ground and pound. The assault ended with the North American's advantage.
The last round began with the fighters exchanging attacks in the center of the circular cage. In the first minute, Marcelo hit his opponent with combinations of punches and kicks. Golm returned to the clinch and pressed the American against the bars. With almost two minutes played, Marcelo rocked his rival with a direct shot, but seemed to have no energy to settle the score. In the final seconds, Golm managed the takedown, got to his back and locked in a rear-naked choke, forcing his opponent to tap out.

Overrun at the event, Outlaw, who was the title challenger, may have momentarily strayed from his dream of facing the champion. The quick outcome interrupts the fighter's two-fight winning streak.
Owner of the most impressive outcome of the event, Musayev has already shared the battlefield with Patricky Pitbull. The athletes faced each other in December 2019, with victory on points for the representative of Azerbaijan.
