This Friday morning (22), Ultimate held the first official press conference to promote one of the most anticipated cards of the year: UFC 280, which takes place on October 22nd, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The press conference was attended by three athletes scheduled for the event, including the main star Charles of the Bronx, which faces Islam makhachev for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg).

The fact of Islam makhachev not being present at the press conference did not prevent Charles of the Bronx provoke the rival. Asked if he considers it fair for his rival to fight for the belt without defeating any member of the top 5 in the division, the Brazilian stated that the Russian is “surfing Khabib's wave” and should have another fight before facing him.
“In reality, I think he’s riding Khabib’s wave. This is the real one. I think he should have another fight before fighting me, but if that's what they want, that's what they'll get. As I said: if you want peace, I want it twice as much, but if you want war, war has arrived”, declared Do Bronx.
Even though he is almost unanimously considered the “moral champion” of the lightweight division, Charles of the Bronx search, in the main fight of the UFC 280, regain the division belt, lost in the controversial weigh-in of the UFC 276in May.
