Vitor belfort made history this Saturday night (09), in Goiânia, in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 32. The Brazilian became the first man to knock out the veteran Dan Henderson. In another spectacular performance, Belfort showed his well-known speed in the counterattack to knock the American down and then end the fight with a powerful shin to his rival's face. The knockout marked Vitor's third consecutive high-kick triumph.
The fight
The main fight of the UFC in Goiânia started off well. Henderson took the center of the octagon, but was not within the Brazilian's range of action. The first minute passed without the athletes exchanging blows, but as soon as the North American took the initiative, he went to the ground.

Hendo closed the distance, preparing the blow with his powerful right. But when Dan went to the entrance, Vitor responded quickly and knocked his rival off balance. Without wasting time, Belfort launched a series of punches on the ground.

The North American still tried to get up, but at this point Vitor belfort landed a powerful shin kick on Dan Henderson, who was already knocked out.
With the triumph, as Dana White, president of the franchise, had already announced, Vitor belfort will have the right to compete for the middleweight belt. He measures forces against the winner of the fight between Chris Weidman, current champion, and Anderson Silva, who will rematch for the title at UFC 168, on December 28th.
