While many believe that the duel against the famous Brit is a great opportunity for Leavitt to shine, the North American minimizes the importance of the duel.

In a press conference held during the “media day” of the UFC London, this Wednesday (20), Jordan Leavitt stated that he does not see Paddy Pimblett like a star and who doesn't find the duel that interesting.

PUBLICITY:

“I think that if we separate all the shine from this fight, it’s not very interesting. I don't follow him (Pimblett) on social media and didn't know much about him until his debut. I don't think it will affect me. I don't see him as a star. He's just a guy who won two fights in the UFC and faced some guys with a negative record in Ultimate. There are a lot of guys in the cast like that. On paper, I'm not very interested in this marriage, to be honest”, revealed the “Monkey King”.

Despite minimizing the “stardom” of Paddy Pimblett, Jordan Leavitt admitted that his rival is a good fighter, but assured that he was more than prepared for the duel. Furthermore, the North American promised his traditional “twerk” in case of victory in the UFC London.

PUBLICITY:

“I fought and trained with champions. I trained with challengers for the belt. I've seen it all. I've been doing more than 20 rounds of sparring a week for ten years. Most of these rounds were on the feet. I've never been knocked down by anyone close to my size. They never hurt me in any of my fights. The only cut I got was from a headbutt. We did a lot of things in common, Paddy and I, but I did it without receiving damages. Nobody knows about my chin, because I don't get hit. He's a good fighter. I like him, I think he's fun and I'm kind of a fan. I like the interviews and everything, but it's just work. Finish the fight, roll over and go home”, he concluded.
