The pressure didn't intimidate Patricky Pitbull at Bellator 107, an event held this Friday (08), in Oklahoma, in the United States. Coming from three defeats in a series, the native of Rio Grande do Norte entered the organization's circular cage pressured for a victory. But with a good performance during the 15 minutes of fighting, the Brazilian ended the run of bad luck and defeated the North American Edson Berto.
In a duel that was fought throughout the standup, Pitbull controlled the center of the cage, landing the best blows, including a knockdown in the second round, to take the fight to a unanimous decision by the judges.
Ex-UFC wins yet another
In the main fight of the night, Cheick Kongo, former UFC athlete, achieved his second victory in Bellator. Initially scheduled to face Brazilian Vinicius Spartan, the Frenchman had his opponent changed at the last minute, but he still beat Peter Graham in a unanimous decision by the judges and won the heavyweight GP of the show.
With the tournament title, Kongo competes for the category belt against the winner of Alexander Volkov x Vitaly Minakov, duel that takes place on November 22nd.
