protagonist of UFC London, which takes place next Saturday (23), the heavy weight (up to 120,2kg) Curtis blaydes gave his opinion on a possible fight that could happen in his division: Jon Jones x Stipe Miocic. Asked about the outcome of the possible duel, the North American believes that the former champion will defeat the mixed martial arts legend and believes that 'Bones' does not have the knockout power to stand out in the new weight range.

“I would pick Stipe (Miocic) to win this. Just because he's been in five-round heavyweight fights several times and showed knockout power when he knocked out Fabricio (Werdum) and Alistair (Overeem). Stipe has already shown that, he has the wrestling and the physical conditioning. I just believe he's a smart enough fighter, he'll be able to figure Jon out after two or three rounds. His punches will hurt more than someone else's punches. Jon Jones. That’s exactly what I think,” Miocic said.

Curtis praised the skills of the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), but believes that he does not have knockout power and that this will be a difference in a possible duel against Miocic.

“Jon (Jones) didn’t show that one-punch knockout power. What he showed is that he is extremely creative. He'll hit you with elbows, knees, teeps, all kinds of different things. Even on the ground, he is aggressive. He's looking for submissions. He's trying to drop elbows. He brings a lot to the table, but the biggest thing he doesn't have is power. I think that’s always the equalizer,” concluded Blaydes.

While the confrontation between Jones and Miocic is not official, Blaydes will have a tough challenge in the UFC London, which takes place next Saturday. The North American will measure forces against the local prospect Tom aspinall, in the main fight of the show. Number four in the heavyweight rankings, 'Razor' is enjoying a great moment in his career with six wins in his last seven fights.
