O UFC Long Island, an event held next Saturday (16), should define the future of Miesha Tate, already making his debut in the flies (up to 56,7kg.). A big name in the history of women's MMA, 'Cupcake' was the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) and is now trying to secure a new chance for the belt.

Triumphal return

Without fighting since November 2016, Miesha Tate made a triumphant return in the Octagon UFC Las Vegas 31, in July 2021. In the second most important fight of the night, the American seemed not to feel the time away and knocked out Marion Reneau in the third round.

With complete dominance, the 'Cupcake' arrived at the third round ready to settle the bill. She set a strong pace, went on top and 'hammered' Reneau until the referee interrupted the fight. Later, Reneau confirmed his departure from MMA.
