Outside of business that involves the future of Deiveson Figueiredo In MMA, businessman Wallid Ismail broke his silence and opened up about the end of his relationship with the UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg). Without hiding his disappointment with the man from Pará, the agent spared no criticism of the fighter and gave his version of what led to the break with the athlete. The harsh statements were released by 'sherdog.com', at the beginning of July.
“I didn’t want to talk about it so as not to expose Deiveson. I informed Deiveson that the UFC would create an interim belt if he didn't fight by July”, said Wallid, who then refuted Figueiredo's claims that the then businessman had not informed the company of a hand injury. “The UFC was aware that he was injured. He (Deiveson) went to the press and said he would only fight Kai Kara France in October. On the other hand, I suggested that you face Brandon Moreno, and it would be the best fight of his career”, said the former agent.

After the first criticism, Ismail continued firing at the champion. The former businessman now accuses Figueiredo of having lied in statements about his conduct with the Ultimate board.
“He wants to find someone to blame for his bad decisions. I'm talking because, even though he apologized to me for lying about not knowing about the interim belt, now he's lying again. He says I hadn't informed the UFC about his injury. It’s a deviation from character,” said Wallid.
Visibly uncomfortable with the situation created and the end of a relationship that, over the last few years, earned those involved the UFC belts, Ismail becomes irritated when dealing with the person of his former pupil. With harsh words, the agent does not spare the champion.
“This bum became a shameless scoundrel. First he lied about me not telling him about the interim belt. The bastard apologized for lying, and now he's lying again. You're naughty, Deiveson. I told the UFC he was injured and wouldn't fight until October. He asked to say this,” he closed.
A few weeks ago, Deiveson publicly revealed his dissatisfaction with his professional relationship with Ismail, and admitted the breakup. Subsequently, the athlete signed a contract with 'VaynerSports', headed by Uriah Faber.
In his second reign at UFC flyweight, Deiveson has not performed since January, when he beat Moreno in a historic trilogy in the division, and resumed the throne. Now, the fighter will wait for the outcome of the confrontation between Brandon and Kara-France to find out who he will face in the title unification clash.
