Patrício Pitbull vents, rebuts critics and evaluates the possibility of a trilogy with AJ McKee at Bellator

In an exclusive interview with the SUPER LUTAS channel, the Brazilian legend places himself among the biggest names in featherweight history and analyzes possible next steps in his career

Featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.), Patrick Pitbull talked about his future in Bellator. In an exclusive interview with the SUPER FIGHTS on 'YouTube', the Brazilian revealed his desire for a trilogy against A. J. McKee in his next belt defense, but questioned the desire of Scott Coker's organization to hold another meeting against the North American. He still plans to return for October or November this year.

“My expected return is October or November. It could be a trilogy with A. J. McKee, which doesn't look like it's going to happen. Bellator is not so excited, because there (in the rematch) I showed dominance. So it seems like it doesn't matter anymore. There is the issue that it is 1×1 and there is still the possibility of having a trilogy. We have to break the tie. But there is Adam Borics, who won a fight and could be the next challenger as well. Its between A. J. McKee e Adam Borics”, indicated Pitbull.

When asked about 'haters' in the sport, Patrício states that he tries to motivate himself with negative comments, which make him prioritize results and longevity to stay at the top. The native of Rio Grande do Norte even opened up about the matter.

“I know that the sport's elite already consider me a big name, one of the greatest featherweights in history and that's what counts. But there's that feeling of 'putting a punch in the middle' and proving that they said it wrong. It sounds arrogant of me, but I want you to f*** off. If I don't trust myself, who will? (…) It’s already bothered me a lot. And I even 'thank you' for doubting me. It made me want to stay in the elite for a long time, because I had to do everything the right way. I do everything right to have greater longevity in the sport. So, I thank the haters who gave me reasons every day. Please continue to doubt, as this fuels me to go even further”, concluded the fighter.
