Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez make weight and confirm UFC Long Island main fight

The 12 fights of UFC Long Island are confirmed. This Friday morning (15), the 24 athletes scheduled for the card won the challenge against the scales, at the official weigh-in, and are ready to take action this Saturday afternoon (16).

Protagonists of the event, Brian ortega e Yair Rodriguez, it didn't take long for them to step onto the scales and confirm the main fight on the card, valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). While Ortega dreams of a rematch against the current champion Alexander Volkanovsky, Rodriguez seeks to qualify for his first title fight in Ultimate.

The two Brazilians selected also confirmed their presence at the event. The first to weigh in was Herbert Burns, brother of Gilbert Durinho, who returns to the octagon after almost two years away and faces Bill Algeo, in the featherweight division.

Responsible for the co-main fight of the afternoon, Amanda lemos she was the last among all 24 athletes to step on the scale. The woman from Pará resorted to the screen and had to take off her clothes to reach the limit of the strawweight division (up to 61,2 kg), but confirmed the duel against Michelle Waterson.
