UFC promise praises Taila Santos and says he would bet on the Brazilian in a rematch with Valentina Shevchenko

No UFC 275, Taila Santos almost accomplished a historic feat and, almost, did not dethrone the legacy of Valentina Shevchenko in flies (up to 56,7kg.). And, for part of the MMA community, the Brazilian would have a real chance of becoming champion in the event of a new meeting with the Kyrgyz.

In an interview with 'The MMA Hour’, Maycee barber, praised the performance of Taila, who fought evenly and ended up suffering an injury to his orbital bone after a clash of heads with Valentina. The Ultimate promise now declared that the Brazilian was harmed by the move and could have left with her 'arms raised'.

“I felt that, if there hadn't been the 'clash of heads', the fight would have had a different result. Taila was doing an excellent job and before the fight, no one knew her. I was a little upset with myself for not paying attention. She’s a very good fighter,” Barber said.

It does not stop there. Maycee even believes that Santos should have another chance at the title and, this time, he can beat Shevchenko.

“I feel like if she gets the rematch, she would win. She is the only one who managed to expose Valentina the way she did. Congratulations to Valentina for managing to keep the title, but I really think it would have been a different duel if there hadn't been the clash of heads”, she concluded.

Taila Santos will spend a period of time recovering, as he fractured the orbital bone of his face in a headbutt against Valentina Shevchenko in the fourth round. Still, she continued in the duel and was defeated in a split decision by the judges. In her record, there are now 19 positive results and two negative results.
