Opponent of Amanda lemos in the co-main event of UFC Long Island, which takes place this Saturday (16), Michelle Waterson exudes confidence for a positive result. At a time of fluctuation within the company, the strawweight (up to 52,1kg) hopes to win with a quick outcome over the Pará fighter. In an interview with 'BJPenn.com', the American spoke about her expectations for the clash.
“I've been trying to take these girls to the ground in the last few fights and none of them agreed to fight on the ground with me. We are two athletes (Waterson and Lemos) who like to fight on their feet, but I will be ready for any scenario”, said Michelle.
Without winning on the fast track for more than six years, the American hopes to end her fast this weekend. For karateka, a knockout would be the ideal way to get back on the winning track.
“I would like to win 'Knockout of the Night'. I already won 'Submission of the Night', Fight of the Night', so I want the knockout”, he concluded.
