The UFC is already part of the past for Marcos Vina. After being fired from the organization in the defeat to Ali Bagautinov in September, the Brazilian signed a long contract with Rebel FC, an Asian event based in Singapore. The athlete from Paraná already has a date and opponent set for his debut. He faces Japanese Taiyo Nakahara on December 21st.
Vina, who has an MMA record of 20 wins and five losses, joined the UFC after his stint in the first edition of TUF Brazil, where he reached the featherweight semifinals. In the octagon, he debuted with triumph against Wagner Galeto, at UFC 147, but ended up losing afterwards to Johnny Bedford and Ali Bagautinov, defeats that resulted in his dismissal.
In turn, Nakahara has a professional record of 13 wins and seven losses. Despite his irregular record, the 30-year-old Japanese rider is having a moment, as he has won five of his last six appearances.
