On the main card of UFC 276, an event that takes place next Saturday (2) in T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA), Alex Poatán measures forces against Sean Strickland, with an eye on the middleweight title (up to 83,9kg.). Exclusively to SUPER FIGHTS, five MMA athletes gave their guesses about who will win the confrontation.

“It’s a struggle. Strickland is a guy who always puts on a show and Poatan is a very dangerous guy. I see Poatan catching him (Sean), who is a good guy, but I don't see him as a destroyer. (…) I think so (Poatan knocks him out)”, said Pereira.

“Everyone is top notch, but Poatan is out of this world. Very good. He is one of the toughest and most technical guys. That's why it's good to train with him. An MMA fighter will certainly attack Poatan with takedowns or feints, but he is prepared for anything. Standing up, it's his game. I would bet on a Strickland victory on points. I think he can dominate and put him down. He has a high level of wrestling”, analyzed the man from Maranhão.

“For me, Poatan is the favorite. I've trained with Strickland, he's a tough guy and has high-level jiu-jitsu. He is training on the ground and Poatan needs to be aware of this part, but I believe he is improving a lot in the MMA part, takedown defense. But, I believe that, on the path that the two are taking, Poatan is more eager to reach the title”, said the midfielder.

“The style doesn’t suit Strickland very well. He can't give Poatan an opening, because where he hits is 'corner' and he will fall. The guy has a heavy hand. Strickland has the style of opening the game, going up and, for me, it's going to be bad for him. Poatan only needs a moment to win the fight. My records are all in Poatan. I believe in a knockout in the first or second round,” he concluded.
