The Brazilian Lyoto Machida debuts in the Ultimate middleweight division, this Saturday (26). Main attraction of UFC Fight Night 30, an event that takes place in Manchester, England, starting at 14:30 p.m., the Brazilian karateka measures up against Mark Munoz.
Lyoto would be a challenger for the light heavyweight belt, but ended up losing the chance to Alexander Gustafson, who faced champion Jon Jones at UFC 165. Without a chance at the title, the Brazilian fought at home and lost to Phil Davis of UFC Rio 4, in a controversial decision by the judges. This will be Machida's first fight at middleweight and he had no trouble reaching the weight class last Friday.
In turn, Munoz is trying to build a winning streak after a bad moment in his career. After the setback to Chris Weidman, in 2012, the fighter of Filipino descent suffered a bout of depression and gained a lot of pounds. Back in the Octagon, in July this year, he showed his old form and beat Tim Boetsch at UFC 162.
