With five consecutive victories, Sean Strickland has the difficult task of stopping the excitement of Alex Poatán No. UFC 276, an event that takes place next Saturday (2). Despite facing a former kickboxing champion, the North American rules out feeling threatened by the situation and provoked the Brazilian's fighting style.

“He’s a f***ing Brazilian who knocked out Izzy (Israel adesanya) 20 years ago. He's not that good of a striker. (Alex Poatán) Pereira is like that. You can only do this because you are tall and genetically blessed. If it was the size of a normal human, it wouldn't be able to get that far. It's a s*** style,” Strickland said during 'half day' for the UFC 276.

Sean Strickland is fourth in the division rankings. The 31-year-old American is on a six-fight win streak, the last five at middleweight. In his last performance, he surpassed Jack hermansson by split decision in February. He has a record of 24 positive results and three negative results.

With two fights and two victories in the UFC Octagon, Alex Poatán is not yet in the top 15 of the middleweight division, but enjoys prestige within the organization and is seen as a strong candidate to challenge Israel adesanya for the title in the near future. This is due to the Brazilian's history in kickboxing, a sport in which he made history as GLORY champion, including defeating the Nigerian, current owner of the Ultimate middleweight belt, on two occasions.
