Lyoto and Muñoz have a friendly face and Lineker doesn't make weight for UFC Fight Night 30

As expected, former training partners Lyoto Machida and Mark Muñoz had a friendly face-off after the UFC Fight Night 30 weigh-in, this Friday (25). Among 24 athletes scheduled for fight night, only one did not reach the weight limit for his category: John Lineker.

Lineker weighed 58 kg, almost a kilo above the permitted limit, even with the tolerance of 1 pound, or around 450 grams. Now, John has one hour to reach 57 kg or he could be penalized with the loss of part of the value of his purse, which will go to his opponent. This is the third in five fights that Lineker has missed weight in the UFC.

One of the most curious points of the event was the entrance of the giant Luke Barnatt, pupil of Chael Sonnen and participant in the 17th season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter. Barnatt wore a shirt with “Dolce Knows” written on it, making reference to “diet wizard” Mike Dolce. In the face-off after passing through the scales, the Englishman saw his opponent Andrew Craig stand on tiptoe to match his height.
