Standing out in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg) of the UFC, Beneil Dariush is experiencing a moment of uncertainty within the category. Ignored by Charles of the Bronx e Islam makhachev, the 'Kings MMA' pupil is looking for an opponent for his next commitment and had to resort to a 'Plan C' to return to competing. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the fighter suggested a confrontation against Dustin poirier.

“If Charles (Do Bronx) and Islam (Makhachev) actually face each other, a guy like Dustin poirier it makes a lot of sense to me. I would love to face him,” she revealed.

Current number six in the lightweight rankings, Dariush hasn't stepped into the Octagon for over a year. In his last commitment, the athlete canceled and won Tony Ferguson, expanding the veteran’s bad moment.

Challenged by Beneil, Poirier has not yet debuted in the 2022 season. The athlete is coming off a defeat to Charles of the Bronx in a match valid for the division title.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
