“I'm a big fan of Justin gaethje, I have a lot of respect for him. I think he's the most brutal guy in the lightweight division. He has already fought for the belt twice. I am part of the new school, the new generation, and I want to change my place and start climbing the rankings”, explained Gamrot.

The victory over Arman Tsarukyan was the fourth consecutive Mateusz gamrot in the UFC. The Pole, who entered the Octagon ranked twelfth in the lightweight rankings, has not been defeated since his debut in the organization, in October 2020, when he lost to Guram Kutateladze in a split decision by the judges.

Gamrot's target, Justin gaethje is a former interim lightweight champion. The North American had two opportunities to win the division's linear belt, but failed in both: against Khabib Nurmagomedov, in 2020, and Charles of the Bronx, in May of this year.
