Rakhmonov has a new dominant performance, defeats Magny at UFC Vegas 57 and remains undefeated in his career

Promising welterweight, Kazakh manages guillotine over North American in the second round

He's legit. Welterweight promise (up to 77kg.), Shavkat Rakhmonov gave a new example of his quality and, with extensive control in grappling, submitted Neil Magny with a guillotine in the second round, in a match valid for UFC Las Vegas 57, event held this Saturday (25). With this, the fighter approaches the top 10 of the category led by Kamaru Usman.

Rakhmonov remains unbeaten in 16 fights in his career, this being his third consecutive victory. In the under-77kg ranking, the Kazakh should climb positions towards the top of the division.

Magny continues to alternate between good and bad moments and now has 27 positive results and eight negative results.

The fight

With ease, Rakhmonov entered takedowns and saw Magny fall. On top, the Kazakh took a stance and delivered hard blows to the North American. The arsenal of blows included elbows, transitions and spins that bothered the opponent. Neil still looked for a submission, but couldn't get the adjustment underneath.

Shavkat started with a kick to the waist, stuck and put Magny back on the ground. Glued to the fence, the fighter weighed his hips and cautiously entered his opponent's guard, always using technical movements. In the final stretch of the round, Rakhmonov secured a guillotine choke to overcome Neil.
