After dismiss Glorinha de Paula and Poliana Botelho from the list of athletes, the UFC released another Brazilian athlete. Flyweight (up to 56,7 kg) Rogerio Bontorin is no longer part of the Ultimate roster. The information was initially given by journalist Alex Behunin on “Twitter”.

According to journalist Alex Behunin, after the weight cut incident, Bontorin intends to continue his career outside the UFC as a bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg).
Rogerio Bontorin arrived in the UFC through “Contender Series Brasil” in 2018. The Brazilian defeated Magomed Bibulatov and Raulian paiva in his first fights in the organization, in 2019, reaching the top 10 in the flyweight division. In his last four fights, however, Bontorin suffered three defeats and had the only victory, against Matt schnell, changed to “no result” after being caught in an anti-doping test. The athlete escaped a long suspension by proving that he tested positive due to a contaminated supplement.
At 30 years of age, Rogerio Bontorin leaves the UFC with two wins, three losses and one fight without result in the organization. In his career, the athlete has 16 triumphs, four setbacks and two unsuccessful fights.
