Cyryl Gane likes to be involved in title fights. The Frenchman prepares to face Tai tuivasa No. UFC Paris on September 3rd, but he is already thinking about a new chance for the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg.). He even says that 'hitting the post' against Francis Ngannou gave him another motivation to wear the Ultimate title.

“I think if I beat Tuivasa, I will have a new fight for the interim title. So (loss to Ngannou) put me back a little bit, but challenged me even more, so I'm fine. I'm one more in the running and I like that. Some people tell me that I had a (close fight) with Francis and that I should get a rematch for the belt, but I say I'm fine with that”, said Gane, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

At 32 years old, Gane would have the support of the public present in his country to try to recover from the defeat suffered by Francis Ngannou, in the heavyweight belt dispute (up to 120,2kg.), in the UFC 270 in January. The Frenchman became interim champion, after beating Derrick Lewis, but failed to unify the title.

Ciryl now has a record of ten triumphs and only one setback in his career in MMA, which began in 2018. He is ranked first in the category, led by Francis Ngannou, who is still recovering from two knee injuries and has no plans to return to the octagon.
