In the penultimate fight of the preliminary card of the ufc austin, valid for the welterweight division (up to 77 kg), Jeremiah Wells demonstrated surgical precision and knocked out Court mcgee in the first round. With great precision in his strikes, Wells knocked out his opponent with a well-aimed left cross to the tip of McGee's chin.

The victory was the fifth consecutive Jeremiah Wells in his career, his third within the UFC. The North American maintained a 100% interruption rate throughout his career in Ultimate, with two knockouts and one submission.
