The next opponent of José Aldo for the featherweight belt it should really be Ricardo Lamas. In Houston (USA), during the week of events leading up to UFC 166, president Dana White stated that the organization has already started talks so that the confrontation between Aldo and Lamas will take place in edition 169 of Ultimate, on February 1st, in the North American city of Newark.

“It’s not agreed, but we’re talking about it,” the manager told the “MMA Junkie” website. “But we talked about several things”, he added shortly afterwards. The event that would host the next title belt defense José Aldo is one of the most important in the UFC, which precedes the Super Bowl (American football final). This year, the Brazilian also took part in the main fight on the pre-Super Bowl, against Frankie Edgar.
