Brazilian lost the light heavyweight belt after being submitted by the Czech with less than 30 seconds left in the fight

Less than 30 seconds separated Glover Teixeira of the first belt defense in the UFC 275, last Saturday (11). Finished by Jiri Prochazka In the final stretch of the fifth round, the Brazilian entered the round, winning the fight in the opinion of two of the three judges responsible for the duel.

Judge Ben Cartlidge saw victory for Glover Teixeira in the first, second and fourth rounds, meaning that the Brazilian would have entered the fifth round with a two-point advantage over Jiri Prochazka. Clemens Werner, in turn, also marked the then champion as the winner of the same three rounds, but scored the Czech a 10-8 victory in the third round, indicating that the Brazilian would have entered the final round with a one-point advantage. In Michael Bell's view, the fight was a draw, with Glover winning the first two rounds and Prochazka the third and fourth.

After defending some attempts to finish Glover Teixeira, Jiri Prochazka surprised and secured a rear-naked choke, forcing the Brazilian to give the “three taps” with less than 30 seconds left in the fight and winning the light heavyweight belt.
