The Brazilian, who was making his debut in the organization, needed just over three minutes to knock out Garett Whiteley and debut in the octagon with victory.
After the triumph, Nuguette did not hide his happiness with the result. Smiling throughout his visit to the press room, the X-Gym athlete said that he would only fight with his shoulder, but would not give up the fight at home.
“I came in to win. If he caught me by the arm or the foot I wouldn't hit him at all. He could take it home and it wouldn't crash. If he took one arm, I would fight with the other. If he caught the other I would fight with both legs, if he caught the legs I would fight with the shoulder. I would only come away with victory”, said Nuguette, who analyzed the blow that decided the fight.
“I'm ready to fight for 15 minutes, but the opportunity I have is going to win the fight. I'm not going to win round by round, I'm going to kill or be killed. So if you can finish in the first, if you don't feel thirsty for the second”, said Alan, who analyzed that he decreed the end of the fight.
“I think he (Whiteley) saw my videos and thought I wanted to finish, but we work by hand. I did the same as Jaca (Ronaldo Jacare) did it with Okami and I surprised him”, he added.
Exuding sympathy, the fighter praised his training with other UFC fighters on the X-Gym team. “You go hand in hand with the Alligator, look to one side Erick silva, look at each other Paulo thiago, Marcelo Guimarães, Feijão. I will never have the same pressure in the category as I do in the gym”, said an excited Alan, who aims to return soon.
