Since the fight between Anthony Pettis e José Aldo was canceled at UFC Rio 4, due to an injury suffered by the North American, there has been a lot of talk about when the two will finally meet in the octagon – especially after winning the lightweight belt on “Showtime”. This Tuesday (08), during a question and answer session in Barueri (SP), Aldo reinforced his desire to face Pettis.

“Yes, a lot has been said about this fight. We are waiting to do this super fight. For me, it had already come out, at any weight. If they ask me to fight in any category, at weight or lightweight, I will fight”, said the featherweight champion. José Aldo responded about the possibility of starring in an edition of The Ultimate Fighter with the rival. “A TUF would be interesting, but TUF is difficult. However, he doesn't speak Portuguese. But if it were in America, it would be difficult, because I don't speak English. But, if they do, I’ll do it,” he said.

José Aldo He also talked about a possible move to the lightweight category, which proved to be an old desire. “A lot of people also talked about weight change. I already asked for this. I think everything has the right time, Dana White and Dedé Pederneiras (coach) didn't think it was the right time. I am an employee. As soon as they think it's time, I'll move up to lightweight,” he said.
