A worrying scene marked a clash for the WBF (World Boxing Federation) African lightweight belt in Durban, South Africa. Fighter Simiso Buthelezi was left groggy on top of the ring in an attack on an 'invisible opponent' in duel against Siphesihle Mntungwa. The video (check it out below) was published by the account 'Tim Boxeo', on twitter.

In the tenth round of the fight, Buthelezi had a good moment in his exchange, where he saw Mntungwa fall into the ropes after a sequence. He walked away and, when the referee was preparing to restart the fight, he was in mental confusion.

With his back to his opponent, the fighter chased the judge – who walked away – and started throwing blows against an 'imaginary opponent' in one of the corners. Then, upon realizing what had happened, the referee declared an end to the fight and Simiso was immediately taken to the local hospital, where he underwent tests and remains under observation. According to the vehicle'First Sportz', the athlete's condition is stable.

Siphesihle, in turn, was declared the winner of the fight, but did not receive the belt due to a decision by the Boxing Federation, which chose to postpone the award out of respect for Buthelezi.
