Disappointed with the current situation of the UFC flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), the lineal champion, Deiveson Figueiredo, once again vented about the creation of the interim belt in the group. Irritated, the Brazilian did not hide his disappointment and even criticized the work of his manager Wallid Ismail. In an interview with 'Canal Encarada', the 'God of War' opened up about his relationship with the agent.
“Until now, my manager has been silent (about the creation of the interim flyweight belt). I'm even thinking about changing managers. During my entire career, I never received a visit from Wallid here in Belém do Pará. He never told me to go to another team. He is silent and so am I. I think this marriage is going down the drain”, said Figueiredo.

Recovering from a hand injury, Deiveson will follow the outcome of the clash between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara France. Athletes will measure strength on the UFC 277, which takes place on July 30th.
In the same interview, Deiveson admitted that he will seek at least two more belt defenses in the category. The fighter, however, revealed his intention to compete at bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) in the future.
In his second reign in the flyweight division, Deiveson regained the throne of the category in January 2022. On that occasion, the Brazilian won a true battle in the trilogy against Brandon Moreno.
