Probable challenger, TJ Dillashaw again provokes Aljamain Sterling: 'I can beat him with one leg'

Speculated as being close to trying to take 'Aljo's' belt, the former division champion belittled his rival's qualities and said he will emerge victorious in the duel.

Pointed out as a likely challenger for aljamain sterling, TJ Dillashaw he made light of the current bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg). In a statement to 'Submission Radio', the former category leader belittled the 'Funk Master's' abilities and believes he would be able to beat him even with 'one leg'.

“I just won a fight against the number one contender, who, actually, I think is a more dangerous guy, with one leg. I could beat this idiot (Sterling) soon with one leg too. I'm not too worried about him. I think Sandhagen is actually a tougher fight. If he were a little more complete, he would be even further along. I feel like nothing will stop me from getting my belt, no matter what it is. If I have to go up to the octagon and fight with one arm, one leg, one eye, it doesn’t matter,” said Dillashaw.

Number two in the bantamweight rankings, TJ returned to the octagon in July 2021, after serving a two-year suspension for doping. On his return to Ultimate, Dillashaw waged an incredible war against Cory Sandhagen and emerged victorious in the judges' split decision. The North American has a record of 17 triumphs and four setbacks as an MMA professional.
