Former bantamweight champions (up to 61,2kg), TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz returned to exchanging provocations during the last week. After the 'Dominator' criticized his rival's possible title fight, the former Alpha Male responded and accused his opponent of being jealous because he was still fighting at a high level. The statement was made in an interview with 'Submission Radio'.

“I think he's jealous that I can stay at the top, after my absence I can still come back and prove that I'm still the best. It's just his personality, and of course he's going to say that. But that's because he'll never get there again. I don't think he'll ever have a chance to get the belt back, and that probably bothers him because at some point he was the best,” said TJ.
Dillashaw continued with his provocation: the former champion made it clear that he has no interest in a new fight against Cruz and cited two possible opponents for his return to the octagon.
“Honestly, I have bigger fish to fry. If all the chips line up, I'll get my belt back, (Henry) Cejudo is saying he's coming back, do you have José Aldo. I think there are a lot more dangerous and legendary guys to fight,” concluded Dillashaw.
Former rivals, Dillashaw and Cruz have already had the opportunity to share the octagon. In 2016, with TJ as champion, the two athletes took part in the main fight of the ufc boston. In the end, the Dominator dethroned the former Alpha Male, emerged victorious in a split decision from the judges and regained the bantamweight belt.
