Before the fight against Erik Silva at UFC Fight Night 29, on October 9th in Barueri (SP), South Korean Dong Hyun Kim wants to avoid comparisons with the Brazilian. But anyone who thinks that the reason for this is modesty is mistaken. In an interview with the website “Cor MMA”, Hyun Kim explained the level of his wrestling (Olympic wrestling) above the welterweight champion Georges St Pierre.

“I think I'm number one. I'm the best at wrestling and grappling in my division. If I ever fight GSP, I can guarantee he would be shocked by my wrestling. When I trained in the United States, a large part of the people knew I was a good wrestler and they brought me to the 1st division of the NCAA (college league). Even the heavyweights never knocked me down. I also mix my judo base with my wrestling”, said the South Korean.

Dong Hyun Kim even sent a message to Erik Silva. ” I will bother you for 15 minutes. You're not going to be able to just get in there and move around the octagon. You will be forced to spend all your breath and will. In the end, your lungs will burst from fighting me,” he concluded, extremely confident.

Erik Silva and Dong Hyun Kim are in the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night 29, which takes place on October 9th, in Barueri (SP). In the main event of the night, the former middleweight title challenger Demian Maia faces the North American Jake Shields, in a fight valid for the welterweight category.
