“War brings out the best. I don't believe it, I don't believe that you don't exist anymore, that I won't hear 'Good morning darling!', 'I'm fine!', 'How are the girls?'. And the most important thing is that you will never say to me again: 'I love you'. You were like a shining sun, an example for your daughters, who adore you so much and ask for you every time. 'When is daddy coming?'. How can I tell them they will never see you again? You were an example to your friends and colleagues. You are my angel. I love you so much”, wrote Mariana.

Oleg didn't make it to professional boxing, but he was two-time amateur champion in Ukraine and participated in the World Series of Boxing, a semi-professional boxing competition. The former athlete leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.
