Light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Glover Teixeira has a fight scheduled in front of Jiri Prochazka No. UFC 275, which takes place on July 11th. The Brazilian, in a recent interview, revealed that the fight should mark his last appearances in his career.

In an interview with 'MMA fighting', however, Glover seems to have reflected on the matter and showed another version of the possibility. When talking about the chance of retirement, the Brazilian revealed that he does not want to make a hasty decision and, therefore, just wants to live each moment in the final part of his career.

“I want to retire and I said the perfect scenario is for me to beat this guy in Singapore and fight Jan (Blachowicz) at Madison Square Garden (United States) in November and then call it quits. But I don't want to make a hasty decision. I think it's a possibility, but I don't want to stop and despair later. I even mentioned Henry Cejudo. Nothing against the guy, I love the kid, but you see him retired and he knows he wants to come back. I don’t want to make that decision like that, but it would be a possibility,” said Teixeira.

Professional since 2002, Glover reached the peak of his career last October, when he finished the Polish Jan Blachowicz and won the UFC light heavyweight belt. Close to turning 43 years old, the Brazilian athlete has a record of 33 triumphs and seven setbacks in the sport.
