Aiming to become UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg), Beneil Dariush avoids adopting a provocative style to achieve title challenger status. And, in an interview with 'ESPN', the fighter praised the offensive Charles of the Bronx, who is a former champion and will fight for the vacant title in his next fight.

“If we’re going to talk about Charles (from the Bronx), we need to talk about his style. If we're talking about offense, I don't see anyone above. I don't think I've ever seen anyone more offensive than Charles. He's reckless in some ways, but he makes (his style) work. It’s an incredible style,” said Dariush.

From the Bronx, he even lost his status as lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) after failing to make weight due to problems with the scale in the UFC 274. Even so, the Brazilian was not shaken by the situation and, in an exciting fight, overcame Justin gaethje by rear naked choke in the first round. In addition, he increased the number of fighters with the most submissions and victories on fast tracks in the history of Ultimate.

Beneil is now looking for his first opportunity for the belt and is going through the best moment in the division. Sixth in the rankings, Dariush is on a streak of seven consecutive victories and has 21 positive results, four negative results and one draw in his career. He is now recovering from a fibula injury and is still working to return to the organization.
