The target of harsh criticism from Dana White, referee Steve Mazzagatti demonstrates calmness and certainty of a job well done. The top hat stated shortly after UFC-92, held on December 27th, that the judge took a long time to interrupt several fights that he commanded.
In an interview with the American website MMA Junkie, Mazzagatti showed that he was unaware of Dana White's attacks.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Steve said. “The Commission is satisfied with my performance,” he said. “Ensuring compliance with the rules is not something that will always be popular. I take pride in trying to enforce the rules,” he concluded.
