Without acting since December 2020, junior gypsy returned to MMA this Friday (20), in the main fight of Eagle FC 47. In a balanced duel against yorgan de castro, the former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg.) had the advantage when his arm was dislocated and he debuted with the 'left foot' in the organization of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

With this, Cigano arrives in his fifth fight without a victory in his career. Now, the Brazilian – who has been a professional since 2006 – has a record of 21 positive results and ten negative results.
De Castro, on the other hand, has his ninth triumph. The Cape Verdean, who has been a fighter since 2017, also has three other setbacks and is experiencing great momentum since leaving the UFC in 2021.
The fight
Cigano started working to measure the distance and applied the first blow of the fight with several low kicks, which were mocked by Yorgan. The Cape Verdean aimed to get closer to the range of action, but he couldn't find his opponent at first. Júnior ended up cornered by De Castro, who started to enjoy the duel and landed good blows close to the fence.
The second round started with a bang. Yorgan went up, shortened and tried to work with aggressive momentum, but saw Cigano 'stick' – unsuccessfully – looking for a takedown. Still in striking, the Cape Verdean was superior in the volume of blows and cut the distance with ease. Júnior, however, grew again in the duel with other low kicks that made his opponent feel it.
In the third and final round, the injury occurred. Cigano approached with a frontal punch and, at the same moment, realized that he had moved. Yorgan informed the referee of what had happened and the Brazilian was unable to continue the duel.
