After the acclaimed fight between Jon Jones e Alexander Gustafson last Saturday (21), the situation of Glover Teixeira in the light heavyweight division has changed drastically. The Brazilian himself, who already had his chance at the belt guaranteed after winning Ryan bader in Belo Horizonte, he admitted that a rematch between the Swedish challenger deserves a rematch and begins to make his plans if he really isn't the next to compete for the category title.

“If I'm the next guy to get a title shot, I'd like to have a lot of time to prepare. It may be eight months, but this is the fight I wanted, and I'm willing to wait for it. The thing is, if they (Gustafsson and Jones) fight again first, then I'll take another fight too,” Glover said on the “MMA Sentinel” radio show.

The Brazilian already has the event he would like to perform in in mind: UFC 168. “I think this would be a good card to fight on. It's December 28th, so it's a good chunk of time for me to recover from this little injury I have. I would like to go back and fight, but I don't want to rush. It's my agent's job to sort it out. We'll see what will happen. I’m going to wait a few more weeks, wait for my phone to ring and then decide”, he concluded.

Last September 4th, Glover Teixeira knocked out Ryan bader in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 28, at Ginásio do Mineirinho, in Belo Horizonte (MG). The Minas Gerais native, from the city of Sobrália, has been undefeated since 2006 and has a record of 22 wins and just two defeats. Glover is undefeated since he debuted in Ultimate, five fights ago, and currently occupies second place in the light heavyweight category rankings.
