One of the main heavyweight prospects (up to 120,2kg) today, Tom aspinall does not intend to accelerate his path towards a possible title shot. In an interview with MMA Fighting, the English fighter showed awareness that he still needs to improve to get into a fight for the belt and stated that he is in no rush to achieve his goal.

“I’m not even interested in that right now (in a title fight). I never thought I would talk about the title after five fights in the UFC, six fights in the UFC. I feel like I have more work to do. I have a lot more work to do, more things to prove. I don't want to be one of those people who comes here talking. That’s not me,” Aspinall said.
Confrontation scheduled against the North American Curtis blaydes for the next UFC London, which takes place in July, the Englishman showed respect for his rival but showed confidence in emerging victorious.
"Curtis blaydes It's probably the hardest fight in the division for me stylistically. But I'm okay with that because it takes me to a whole new level. It takes me to levels I've never been to before, and that's what I need. If I'm with someone who's going to make me comfortable, I'm going to stay exactly where I am and do exactly the same work I've been doing,” concluded Tom.
Hired in 2020 by the UFC, Aspinall has won all five of his fights in the company so far, without even reaching the judges' decision. The number six in the heavyweight ranking has a record of 12 triumphs and two setbacks as a professional MMA fighter.
