About to start a promotional tour for UFC 168, with tours announced in Brazil and the United States, Anderson Siva got ahead of himself and has already started promoting the fight against Chris Weidman. In an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”, the Brazilian stated that he will return the knockout given by the North American in July, which resulted in Spider losing the middleweight belt.

“I’m going to return the knockout (to Chris Weidman)”. I'm working hard now. Chris is the new champion and he's a great fighter, but I'm training hard. The new Anderson is coming”, said Spider. The Brazilian also stated that he will intensify his jiu-jitsu training if his rival does not invest in the stand-up fight.

Anderson also said he doesn't feel obligated to achieve a crushing victory to confirm his position as the best middleweight or pound-for-pound in the UFC. “I've been working hard for a long time. My big goal is to train children, new athletes arriving. I'm a normal guy. Sometimes I'm having a good day, sometimes I'm not. People will have a new chance to see the real Anderson. It’s normal,” he concluded.

Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman meet again in the main fight of UFC 168 in a fight valid for the middleweight division belt, in what is considered one of the most anticipated rematches in the history of Ultimate. The event takes place on December 28th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
