With a fight scheduled against Dos Anjos, Fiziev is already looking at a possible duel against Justin Gaethje next

Next opponent Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC, Raphael Fiziev is already drawing up plans for the more distant future. The Kyrgyz revealed that, in case of victory over Dos Anjos in the UFC Las Vegas 58, on July 9th, intends to have one more fight before earning the right to compete for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg).

During his participation in the “Submission Radio” podcast, Raphael Fiziev mentioned the former interim champion and last challenger for the lightweight belt Justin gaethje as an ideal target for the continuation of your career.

“If everything goes well, I see another fight and a title fight soon after. Maybe Gaethje will be next. We will see. Brother, Gaethje is crazy. He eats a lot of punches. I don't know what he does, but sometimes he talks shit and I don't understand him. He said he would make Khabib hell. He did? He fell into a triangle and fell asleep, and with Oliveira it was the same. He just talks. Maybe I’ll fight him, he’ll say he’s going to put me through hell and it’ll be heaven again,” said Fiziev.

Tenth place in the lightweight rankings, Raphael Fiziev comes from five consecutive victories in the UFC. The Kyrgyz's last defeat was in his debut for the organization, in April 2019, against Magomed Mustafaev.
