Considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), the Hawaiian Max Holloway could have his legacy tarnished in the event of a new defeat to the champion Alexander Volkanovsky. At least that's the opinion of bantamweight prospect Sean O'Malley. According to the American, 'Blessed' should not be considered one of the greats in the category, if he loses the third consecutive one to the current belt owner.

"I don't know. This is an interesting fight. I mean, if Max loses, he's 0x3 against Volk. This is crazy. This is wild. Think about it. Like, that would be, I mean, Max is considered, one of the best of all time. But if he loses to Volkanovski, I mean, no matter how he loses, he didn't win his previous two fights. They will say he is 0x3. You can't consider him one of the greatest, on paper, after that,” O'Malley said on his podcast 'The Bro.Malley Show'.

With two fights and two victories in favor of Volkanovski, the two athletes will make the long-awaited trilogy in the UFC 276, scheduled for July 02nd. Once again, the clash will earn him the position of 'king' of the featherweight division, a position held by Alex since 2019.
