“I never had it in Singapore. So why not? I like being in new places. If they invite me, I'll go. But, first of all, I need to see what happened to my eye (the athlete suffered a cut in the fight against Rakic). I'm going to stay here (in Las Vegas) for a few days with my son and my fiancée to enjoy the United States. But, if they call me with my family, I will go”, said Jan, in a press conference after his victory against Rakic.
Willing to closely follow the confrontation between Glover and Prochazka, who will face each other on June 11 for the light heavyweight belt, Blachowicz hopes to be able to challenge the winner of the confrontation. If he is confirmed as a challenger, the Pole could receive a rematch against Teixeira, or the unprecedented commitment to Jiri.
Champion of the under-93kg division. Between 2020 and 2021, Jan completed one title defense. In the second attempt to stay on the throne, the 'giant' ended up submitted by Teixeira.
The clash against Aleksandar marked Blachowicz's first appearance since losing the title. In the fight, the former champion was declared the winner in the third round, after the Austrian suffered a knee injury and ended up unable to continue in the fight.
