First Brazilian representative on the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 54, event held this Saturday (14), Virna jandiroba showed quality in jiu-jitsu and fought hard against the experienced Angela Hill. After three rounds of strategy in grappling, the Brazilian managed to win the unanimous decision of the judges.

With the triumph, Jandiroba recovers in Ultimate. Professional since 2013, she has a record of 18 triumphs and three setbacks.
Hill, in turn, feels the ‘bitter taste’ of the third consecutive defeat. In retrospect, there are 13 positive results and only 11 negative results in his career in mixed martial arts.
The fight
A jiu-jitsu specialist, Virna entered the fight ready to change and put the fight down. The Brazilian, masterfully, accomplished her objective and quickly ‘backpacked’ Hill, before trying a leg lock. At the same moment, the American showed pain, but made the save.

Impressive. At just 22 years old, Tatsuro Taira justified favoritism to beat Carlos Candelario in his UFC debut. Promising in the flyweight category (up to 56,7kg), the Japanese showed quality in grappling and secured victory in the judges' unanimous decision.
Professional since 2018, Taira has won ten victories in a series, only for the third time on points. Canderlario, who signed a contract with the UFC via the Contender Series, debuts on the wrong foot in the organization and has a record of eight positive results and two negative results.
Andre Petroski surprises, submits Nick Maximov and takes unbeaten record from middleweight promise

The duel was valid for the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg).
Petroski now manages to score his third consecutive victory in the organization. In his career, there are eight triumphs and one setback. Maximov, on the other hand, felt the ‘bitter taste’ of the first negative result. He also has eight other negatives.
