Almost a week after suffering one of the most brutal knockouts of recent times, in UFC 274, against Michael chandler, Tony Ferguson he used social media to vent about what had happened. “El Cucuy” even revealed that he had lost his memory of everything that happened from the beginning of the second round until the moment he got into the ambulance.

“New energy. Thank you coach for using your time to keep me active. Guys, I took a big kick from the dome this past Saturday inside the octagon. It left me blank for a long time and it was a scary feeling not being able to remember anything from the beginning of the second round until the moment I got into the ambulance. I thank God every day that I was able to travel back to reality. Jokes aside, I didn't mean to scare you, I should have done things differently, like keeping my hands up and my chin down. I lost because of me, credits to Chandler for the spectacular knockout. I have a lot of things to improve on, not just competing. One battle at a time. I'm not perfect by any means, but I will continue to strive for that inside and outside the gym (Perfection: an unattainable goal),” wrote Ferguson.
After scoring an incredible 12 consecutive victories in the UFC, Tony Ferguson the organization is going through a bad phase. The former interim lightweight champion has not won since June 2019, has come from four consecutive defeats and has fallen to tenth place in the division's rankings.
