Charles of the Bronx finished, with mastery, Justin gaethje in the main fight of UFC 274 last Saturday (7), but his failure to cut weight continues to draw the attention of the MMA community. Now, Tony Ferguson, who ended up knocked out by Michael chandler, suggested that the Brazilian had been wronged for losing the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg.) and took the opportunity to remember the controversy of Daniel Cormier with the scales in the past.

“How can you not gain weight, ladies and gentlemen? You (Daniel Cormier) should have taken off her clothes, like they did with Charles of the Bronx. Shout out to all those who are doing it right and keeping the sport clean – 'Cutting Weight' Champion who feels great,” Ferguson wrote on his official Twitter.

In April 2017, during the main fight of UFC 210, Cormier tried to defend his light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg.) against Anthony Johnson, but he had difficulty making the weight and, now, he has once again been accused of leaning on towels to make the weight.

Despite the accusations made against Cormier for alleged 'cheating' to make weight, the Athletic Commission deemed the attitude acceptable and opted to maintain the title of 'DC', who came forward and submitted Johnson to defend the belt.
