Eager to have the last fight of his UFC contract, Nate diaz may have finally found an opponent: Michael chandler. Through social media, the two fighters reached a verbal agreement to face each other on UFC 277, in July.

It all started with Nate diaz announcing his desire to perform at the event on July 30th, in the welterweight division (up to 77 kg). Former challenger for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg), Michael chandler replied Diaz's tweet, saying he was ready for the fight.
"I am here. Quick turn around. I'm going to make your head spin on its own,” Chandler wrote.
Shortly thereafter, Michael chandler, in a new publication on “Twitter”, once again provoked Nate diaz.
"Hey, Nate diaz, shut up and stop complaining. Keep your mouth shut. Hold your head up until your daddy schedules a fight so you can spread your sacrifice across the mat again. Maybe it's me...if you're in luck. See you at the top,” Chandler teased.
Nate diaz he responded, asking the UFC to send the fight contract after “leaving it in the fridge for a year”.
“UFC kept me cold for a year. Michael chandler He's obviously ready to fight. Send the contract. The time has come”, asked Diaz.
One of the most popular UFC athletes, Nate diaz comes from consecutive defeats in the welterweight division to Jorge masvidal and most recently Leon edwards, in June last year.
Michael chandler, in turn, has not played in the 77 kg division since his professional debut in 2009. The former Bellator lightweight champion was coming off consecutive defeats against Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje until you knock out Tony Ferguson incredibly in UFC 274, last Saturday (7).
