Scott Jorgensen drops to flyweight and debuts against Ian Mcall in December

Duel takes place on December 14th, in Sacramento (USA)

After the defeat to Uirjah Faber, former WEC and UFC bantamweight title challenger Scott Jorgensen decided to move down a category and will make his flyweight debut on December 14th. In his first fight in the under-57 kg category, Jorgensen will face one of the main names in the division: the American Ian McCall. The fight takes place at UFC on FOX 9.

Scott Jorgensen has a record of 14 wins and seven losses. “Young Guns”, as he is known, has a 50% success rate as a UFC athlete: there were three defeats and three wins in the main MMA organization on the planet. Ian McCall has 12 wins, four losses and one draw in his career. The semifinalist of the Ultimate flyweight GP comes from a victory over the Brazilian Iliarde Santos, at UFC Rio 4.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place on December 14th, at the “Sleep Train Arena”, in Sacramento (USA). In the main fight of the night, the new lightweight champion Anthony Pettis puts his belt on the line for the first time against the veteran Josh thomson. In addition to the title fight and the duel between McCall and Jorgensen, two other fights have already been announced for the event: Urijah faber vs Michal McDonald and Chad Mendes vs Nik lentz.
